The countdown has officially begun: In less than 1 month Michael Ball and I will set foot on Moldovan soil! (With Ronaldinho following shortly thereafter)
I should really change the title of this list to a USA/Western Hemisphere List and not call it a DC List because I can't even restrain myself to the US, much less the DC Area. Here is a compilation of the first two lists I created:
"Bucket List" notebook available on Etsy |
Go to the Textile Museum- Go camping in Shenandoah with Dane & Val (& the pups, this time prepare better so that the bears don't steal all our food again)
- Go to Risika,
Cuba Libre& an assortment of other restaurants(have a reservation for Risika later this month) - Go up to Philadelphia & possibly
New York City, possibly plan a College Roommate get-together{am sorta doing this} - Go back to Chicago at least once
{went in June, going again in September) Go to Costa Rica to visit the parentsSee the big {fat & naked} man sculpture at the Hirshhorn Museum if he is ever on exhibit again...Start striking through things on my blog because, according to Val, that's the "in" thing to do with blogs right now...Go Kayaking on the Potomac {went twice!}- Go Berry-Picking and/or visit Polyface Farm in VA {from The Omnivore's Dilemma)
- Go camping/visit Assateague Island

It looks like I will not get around to doing some of the things on my list but I did somehow manage to squeeze in two trips to Montreal, a weekend getaway to MD to spend with a college roommie, a day trip to PA to visit the in-laws, a week-long trip to Chattanooga, and am going on a mega-road trip at the end of this month (DC--> OH--> IL--> MI--> PA--> VT--> NYC--> DC) to be completed in about 10 days and did I mention I'll be bringing my dog with me? It will give me exactly two days to pack up my life before the movers get there. Yep.
What can I say? I am definitely a Scott; it's kind of how we roll.
Oh yeah, and I am supposedly fluent in Romanian now. Bam.
*This entry has the added challenge of having been completed in Spanish {on the back end at least, thanks to Google auto-detecting my location--I am writing on my Mom's laptop, overlooking the mountains of Costa Rica from my parent's living room}.
I took care of Assateague Island for you this past weekend, if that helps.
